Young Rebel Set

Poster artists attending Flatstock are also invited to design & print their own poster for one of the bands playing the Reeperbahn Festival – so the Young Rebel Set was chosen.

The band hail from Stockton-on-Tees – a town which was also home to the inventor of matches back in the 1800’s. They were called “Congreve’s” (after the Congreve’s rocket – a weapon invented in 1808) so this design featured a repeating image of the weapon itself. The inventor’s surname was “Walker” – so it all seemed to make sense at the time!

This is a two colour 11″ x 22″ screenprint on 270gsm light blue textured stock, with only 41 prints available in the edition – along with some one-off additional variations printed on different coloured stock using metallic inks… each done as one-offs.
