Showcasing Scotland, SXSW 2010

Showcasing Scotland, SXSW  - Wed 17th & Fri 19th March 2010
Two separate editions of sixty (co-incidently) prints – both 10″ x 24″ – were done done for the Showcasing Scotland shows at SXSW – each featured a blending of two ink colours for one print run and a double hit of the darker colour used in each (either black or dark violet) – the double printing needed due to experimenting with ‘old school’ manual techniques for separating colour areas.

With there being two showcase gigs for Scottish bands organised by the the Scottish Arts Council (now Creative Scotland) at SxSW in March 2010 – one held during the day on Wed 17th and the other in the evening of Friday 19th – there was both a ‘day’ print and ‘night’ print designed – with a common design theme differentiated colour scheme and by using two different images of the Scottish fishing trawler – one heading out over the Atlantic, and one returning back home again.
