Idlewild, 100 Broken Windows

100 Broken Windows 10th Anniversary Tour
Idlewild are one of my favourite bands, so the imagery for this design was a very personal take on the lyrics and feel of the 100 Broken Windows album.

The image was compiled from a few different photographs, so the cottage with the sea and mountains behind doesn’t actually exist… a sort of ‘imaginary place’. These were printed in a garden workshop in the depths of the worst winter in Scotland for decades, so a battle against the elements to print these somehow made it all seem even more appropriate.

The original edition of 79 prints sold out during the tour, with another edition of 49 prints then done to cover all the dates. Printed 4 colours with a fifth colour achieved by over-printing.
