About…

Handcooked Posters is an off-shoot of the Stirling-based graphic design company Baseline, which specialises in both the design and the printing of unique limited edition, screen printed gig poster art.

Since initially setting up a screen printing workshop in April 2008 and then learning the craft of screen printing – producing test/sample prints to let people see (including ourselves!) what we could achieve through this medium – our hard work culminated in producing a series of prints for Idlewild’s five King Tuts album shows at the end of December 2008. Subsequently, we’ve worked on prints for Frightened Rabbit, The Breeders, The Ray Summers, Creative Scotland and Okkervil River amongst others – and produced further prints & merchandise for both Idlewild & Roddy Woomble.

Our posters are officially produced with each bands permission & input, and are uniquely designed for individual shows or tours. Prints go on sale initially at a gig through the merchandise stall, and are then subsequently made available through this site (prints aren’t made available prior to a gig/tour).

Hand-printed in relatively small quantities, each print is individually signed and then numbered – and our prints will not normally be re-printed once a first edition sells out – keeping these to strictly limited editions (unless an additional print run is requested by a band to meet demand).

Handcooked mainly features the work of Baseline/Douglas Walker, but also works collaboratively with other designers who also share a love for screen-printed gig posters.
